Greenwich Energy Solutions is an independent energy efficiency partner that drives down operating costs for real estate owners and operators and ensures compliance with the ever-changing landscape of new environmental and energy regulations. Nick Speyer – President & COO

Nick joined GES as President & COO in March 2012. He is working with our staff of professionals to grow our business and expand the company’s service offering to offer a complete suite of Energy Management services for the real estate community. Nick comes to GES after 5 years with SourceOne, Inc., an energy management and consulting company where he led the development of the sustainability and renewable energy consulting practice from its infancy to a market leader representing some of the largest renewable energy projects in New England. A New York City native, Nick received his B.S. from the University of Michigan and M.S. in Energy Resources Engineering from Stanford University.

Lance Bakrow – Co-Founder & Director

Mr. Bakrow is the co-founder of Greenwich Energy Solutions and a former Partner of Goldman Sachs where he ran energy and other related commodity trading for the firm. He also founded Greenwich Energy Partners, a global energy trading and asset investment firm.  After extremely rapid growth, Greenwich Energy Partners was sold to Cinergy (now Duke Power). He also formed Greenwich Power, a private equity company focused on energy investments in new technology, alternative energy, and energy risk management solutions.  Lance has a long history of building entrepreneurial initiatives in the energy industry, an in-depth and sophisticated knowledge of corporate finance and energy related businesses.

Brian Casey – Director

Mr. Casey is a leading expert in the energy utility industry with over 25 years of experience. As the founder and CEO of SourceOne Mr. Casey was responsible for the overall management, strategy, and technical initiatives of the Company. Mr. Casey successfully raised equity investments, opened and staffed regional offices, targeted and acquired complementing business. Under Mr. Casey’s direction SourceOne developed and implemented award winning sustainable energy projects for its customers and secured high profile multi million dollar energy efficiency and infrastructure contracts within both the private and public sectors. SourceOne was acquired in April of 2007 by Veolia Energy. Mr. Casey continued to grow SourceOne over the next several years delivering double-digit growth in both revenue and earnings culminating in significant shareholder value.

Mr. Casey Co-Founded SourceGreen, an industrial scale solar energy development company that successfully permitted 6.5 MW’s of rooftop solar. SourceGreen was acquired in April of 2012 by NextSun Energy.

Mr. Casey served on the Board of NYU Poly’s Enterprise Learning Program and The Massachusetts High Technology’s Energy & Environmental Stewardship Council. Mr. Casey currently serves on the Boards of Cantega Technologies an industry leading designer and manufacturer of dielectric polymer products serving the electric utility industry and Greenwich Energy Solutions, a leading energy management company serving the multifamily residential market.

Cliff Schorer – Co-Founder & Director

Mr. Schorer is a serial entrepreneur who specializes in the start-up acquisition and development of small and mid-sized companies. He focuses on businesses with unique ideas or technologies that are in need of guidance during their initial growth phases. Cliff has been involved with companies in the high tech arena, his last position being CEO of GeoVideo Networks, a Lucent Technologies Venture. Prior to that his career included businesses in the real estate, office-supply and health care industries. During the early 1990′s he spent a considerable amount of time in Russia using his entrepreneurial approach to assist in the privatization process During his extensive professional career, Schorer has lectured in numerous business and academic forums both in the United States and abroad. He has developed financial management software programs for business education through his publishing company Bized.
